It took many minutes but four eggs began to shudder and crack as the trill grew deeper. It seemed that the crowd was holding its breath as the four dragonets began to emerge. Each a determined offspring looking for its lifemate in a human.

To Kalmas went a blue. To the two girls went each their own greens. All of them calling for food from their intendeds. The brown that chose Mikhail had to nudge him into comprehension that he was for the boy and not another.

It left only two eggs on the Sands and three Candidates to Impress [or not] as the dragonets deemed.
