He sat next to Basoth's wedge-shaped head to think. There was also nothing else to do. Basoth didn't feel like swimming, nor did J'rasin, at the moment that is.

Thoughts swam through j'rasin's mind quickly. He had heard of there being a gardener! At a Weyr as well! Even if Thread didn't come back, the Records still should be obeyed. No Weyr or Hold ever had vegetation then. It wasn't allowed by the Weyrs. Holds got in trouble if their Weyrs did a search and found plants growing around the hold doors and unattended.

He crosses him arms against his chest. It is unatural to have plant-life, but this is a different age. And a different Weyr. J'rasin only frowned when Basoth entered his thoughts. He was having a time trying to get use to this Weyr. Yet maybe the reason his old Weyr was really being called a southern Weyr and Oldtimer Weyr because they were to stubborn to advance with the times.

"Yes Basoth, it is a different weyr. Yet I still think differently." J'rasin commented to his friend. He then chuckled. "Although we are bond-partners, it seems we think and act differently." He patted the neck of his big bronze affectionately.

He noticed his bronzes color shinning brighter than it had at his old Weyr. It seemed he was healthier than he was before. A stronger and faster healthier. "You are better off here than you were at your old Weyr." J'rasin turned and scratched his partners eye ridges until his eyelids drooped half-closed. 'Our' old Weyr. Basoth commented sleepily.
