As dragon and rider wink in from between, they are greeted by a screeching fury. Nien flies scolding circles about Brynn's head as Kessinth attempts to land on their weyrledge, and finding this rather difficult with the blue darting about in front of her eyes, Kessinth decides to settle him. ENOUGH NIEN! she roars mentally. Brynn winces and the fire lizard comes to a screeching hault in the air before darting into their weyr without so much as another peep.
"Was that really nessecary?" inquires Brynn as they land on the ledge and she dismounts. I couldn't land with him running circles about me, replies the queen innocently. What is he so worked up about anyhow? Brynn sighs slightly while undoing the gold's straps. "He doesn't like it when I'm out late. He's paranoid something is going to happen to me," she replies. Kessinth rumbles lightly, the equivilent of a chuckle. What, he doesn't trust me? Brynn chooses not to answer that, yawning widely and sauntering over to her bed.
Nien lifts his head at her approach from where he was cowering under the covers, and she gives him a warm smile and a soothing pat. "You don't need to worry about me so much. If something happens, Kessinth will call you. Won't you Kess." The gold glances over from where she was settling herself in her couch and gives a slight nod. "See?" The blue accepts the reassurance for now, hopping up onto the pillow while she changes into her nightclothes. She slides under the blankets and Nien settles in beside her, curling up in a blue ring with a sleep chirp of good night.
