A snap. A rustle. Soft, almost unperceivable thuds on the ground signal the arrival of the pack, and suddenly they are in the clearing. The alpha male vigilantly watches me, as does the female. The rest of the pack lingers in their shadow, intense pools watching, curious. Abruptly, the alpha pair becomes uninterested in me, and they depart the clearing. Moments later, the extended family is off across the meadow, naught but diminutive specks upon the horizon. Where do they run?? To Lupus. Yet will you follow??
