Subject: i'd look at the new nitro rs4 rtr3. in my personal experience belt drives suck, unless your carpet racing. nothing like a little tiny pebble getting stuck and snapping your belt. And i'm almost positive that the super nitro's are not allowed in 1/10 racing. basically its a redheaded stepchild that nobody accepts. just my $.02

  • I agree with RCwhat, except that if you want to do some organized racing, you may want to look into the HPI Racer 2. You would have to buy an engine separately, but parts are everywhere for these things, and they are very easy to tune and fix. The only problem with the RTR cars is that you'll get a second-rate engine and parts that you'll eventually want to replace anyway. The Super-Size cars are cool, but parts are a bit harder to find, and your friends will more likely than not have standard 1/10th scale cars, so you might feel like the "odd duck out."
