Here you stand, a large chain-link fence raising before you, a gap leading to the sector K-9. Two dogs lay lazily at each side of the gap, or at least they seem to be almost half asleep. They watch you carefully through cracked eyes, tongue lolling out in a kind of cover. As you approach, both jerk to a standing position, hackles raised, teeth bared.
