It's troubling. But, in fairness to those Iraqis who don't seem up to it--making a stand that results in anything but personal disaster may be outside their grasp. After decades of Saddamite tyranny, this is a whole country full of brutalized children who can kill us. It may be that they just can't believe in success, yet. I'm still opposed to leaving them to the mercies of other would-be tyrants. In the high-stakes game of 'Risk™' we learned we were in (on 9-11-01), Iraq was & is the next logical domino to flick after Afghanistan. Our troops are facing a menagerie of "Islamic" terrs from all over the world--who are in Iraq to fight because *they* understand that. They are there to deny us the fall of that domino if they 'have to destroy it in order to save it.' We can ill afford to let them succeed. I think if we hold the Iraqis' hands just a while longer and show them what *can* be done, they will get the hang of it. But in their world, those they recognize as just plain evil--have always won. We must show them the evil can be defeated. They they'll come to believe it can be done.

I hope you are well. My Other Half and I are mostly over the strain of flu that gets past this year's CDC "flu-shot." Time to go. RKBA! Regards, all.
