I inquire because I've recently enjoyed access to a 1985 Itasca "Phasar" (not a misspelling) 2.2L/automatic 'Pocket Motorhome' someone is trying to offload. For one person's version of its history, check here. Winnebago "Le Sharo" and Itasca "Phasar" are both Winnebago products built in the U.S. from '83 through '92 on Renault "Trafic" cutaway van platforms; they are essentially sibling marques.

IMHO anything with a GVWR of 6,600# will be a lot more than any production 2.2L Gas engine can pull at sustained U.S. highway-speeds without breaking something. It appears I'm not alone in that assessment. But I'm asking about how the thing rode or drove, and how fast its very small interior either began to fit you like a bad habit--or how fast it got old. I'm asking what, in either case, was its most charming feature; literally or sarcastically.

I'd like to think it will never come down to traveling via one of these or staying home, but it could. To my untrained eye it appears my 5'11" frame might be a tight fit in one of these admittedly-appealing toys. Hopefully someone here has done more than sit in a parked one taking measurements. RKBA! Regards, all.
