The bible says that God hates divorce and the only reason people should be divorced is in the case of marital unfaithfulness and even then I think it is wrong. I am to be married in 23 days...on March 22. When two people get married they not only make a promise to stay together for the rest of their lives no matter what but they also make that promise to God. Matthew 19:1-13 talks about divorce. So, they no longer are two but ONE. Therefore what God has joined together let no man seperate. Thats Matthew 19:6
Jesus is saying here that when you are married you become "one" with your spouse whether you feel like you are still in love with him/her or not. Does this mean that even if you feel like you don't love your spouse anymore that you should stay with them? YES i believe it does. Love isn't a feeling...it is an action and commitment. When two people are married and have Christ in their lives and have Christ in the center of the marriage then the marriage is never a failure. Those two people always have God to help them heal their marriage. So, No I do not believe in divorce!
