Subject: I so much love Sundays

I love Sundays even when I miss Church. Today I was God's hand and he used me to rescue one of his little scared ones.

Alicia and I went camping this weekend with our old singles group. Even though we can't be members any more, they let us hang around, and we do what we can to help. It was a good campout, and I saw some old friends I hadn't seen in a while, and met some new ones. But the weekend ended and we prepared to leave.

Pulling out of our campsite, I spotted a little girl running across the road right at my RV. She was looking straight in my eyes and I realised she wasn't going to stop for me so I stopped for her. She had butterfly wings, some kind of little costume, and she was crying and looked so scared. Alicia and I both got out and she grabbed our hands hard. She couldn't find her mommy and daddy and couldn't remember where her campsite was. We needed a Ranger but there wasn't any around.

I asked her if she would ride with us to the Ranger station. I saw it in her eyes: she had been told never to get in the car with a stranger. If I were the wrong kind of person she was sunk and, young as she was (about 4), she knew it. But she must have been more scared and panicked from being lost, so she climbed inside. We got her name and explained we were taking her to the park police and they would find her parents, and we went straight and quick to the station. They took over, and they know how to calm down a panicked lost kid. Ice cream!!

Mat 10:29-31 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.

Please take just a moment and thank God that he watched out for a little sparrow named Rose.

In faith, Dave
