I won't deny that tracts have at times done some good, but I personally consider them to be an unwelcome intrusion into my own personal space and privacy.

Tracts and tract-givers, in my own PERSONAL opinion, are on the same level as telemarketers and the senders of junk emails. I simply do not LIKE to be approached with *your* idea of something for me to buy or adopt. That's the way I am; I don't apologise, and I'm perfectly entitled legally and morally to feel this way. And, tracts aren't the only effective way of taking the Gospel to the world. Many people are Christians, for instance, because of the examples they see in other Christians or in Churches. Don't forget, tracts are cold advertisements where people are (potentially, anyway) warm and friendly.

So, when you're passing out your tracts, please be sensitive to those of us who do NOT want them. Don't press yourself or your tracts on people. If they are like me you might get pressed back! :->
