A Psalm of Central Texas

The Lord is my Raingiver; I shall not want.
He maketh me to cover mine head from deluge:
he leadeth me beside the raging creeks.
He restoreth the green-ness of the land:
he leadeth me around the low-water crossings
and along the higher roads for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the thundering and the lightening
I will fear no inundation: for thou art with me;
thy boat and slicker they cover me.

Thou preparest the greatest of harvests before me
in the presence of all this water:
thou anointest my head with mists;
the banks of the watercourse which floweth across
the south end of our little ranchito runneth over.
Surely green trees and tall flowers shall
follow me all the days of my life:
and I will get to see the sunshine again someday!!
