Welcome to Orodruin, otherwise known as Mount Doom. Every few minutes or so, hot spewing lava shoots ouf of the firey mountain. Once there was a huge battle on the slopes of this mountain, where Sauron lost his precious ring. Now, the Dark Lord seeks it with all his power, and this is the one place where it can be destroyed. If you cast it into the fire, the threat of Sauron will be over and Middle-Earth will return once more to peace.
