It's a Gen/Ink moment! Aw, let's bring in Jazz/Epona/Quill. It'll be family moment.

As you can see,
when you look at me,
I'm pieces of what I used to be.

Inked is no longer the stallion he used to be. Mentally, yes, but not on the outside. In the appearance matters, his body is no longer the muscular, proud, royal black 'tank' - so to speak - it used to be. Don't be mistaken, he's still got that regal look about him that makes him a bit of a looker, but there's no denying the scars that litter his body now, slightly tattered mane and, only recently, a bit of a limp. It's healing, so it's not a permanent fixture, but it does dent the pride a bit when he realises that Generator, the slightly twisted and forever young Generator could easily beat him, if he tried. That doesn't seem likely given that, while the slightly 'elderly' stallion rests under a tree, off in own world, the first thing Generator does upon seeing his father, is gallop over full burst. He skids to a stop, spraying snow all over Inked, who brushes it off his face with a disgruntled snort and headshake.

"And here was me, hoping your mother would have broke you out of that habit by the time you hit four," Inked says, with a bit of a grin. Gen had been doing that since he was a yearling, running up to random horses and skidding snow on them. "'Course, that would have been asking far too much maturity of you, wouldn't it?" he adds. Generator blinks, trying to look innocent. He fails, of course. Gen doesn't do innocent. Only mischievous.

"Who me? Interrupting my father's random standing under a tree action? Just who do you take me for, Quill or Kerria?" Of course, Gen's never spent much time with either of his half-siblings, except only to learn their names and use them as distractions against his antics. Gen pauses, thinking, before he asks the next question. "Are you ok?"

Inked blinks, looking confused.

"What do you mean by that?"

"Well, you know, you just look tired and stuff lately. It's just, I dunno, not like you" he says. It's an odd moment, Gen barely KNOWS Ink, really. Like most stallions, even more so that are related, they didn't spend much time together after Gen left the herd that he grew up in with his mother and father. That was a year and a bit ago, but Ink looked terrible then and he looks slightly worse now. It worries him, so it makes him feel a bit better when Ink laughs slightly at his claims.

"Yeah, well, age will do that to you, I guess" he says. Gen doesn't look too convinced, which causes Ink to sigh and roll his eyes. "Bloody hell, lad, I'm fine. Really. Since when did you become so concerned?" he says. Then, to avoid the matter for now, he changes the subject.

"Seen anyone else you know around? Quill, even? Who knows where that boy ran off to..."

It's easier,

If you don't see me, standing on my own two feet.
