Hi Joel,
I'll post some stuff! This is a great idea, and just shows what the fans can do if we put our heads together. I should be available to attend and show my support. Now we need to go through with it, and really make it work. 100% committment from everyone. From the planners and co-ordinators, to the real passionate fans. We must emphasise to the fans that they must be really passionate, and really show how much they love the club and the players. We must tell them that we are serious about this, and I'd prefer to have everyone screaming, yelling, chanting close together as one grooup in black and white, than 50% of the group chanting, because then it might look as though they are hangers on. But that's just my thoughts. In the end, I'd like as many fans a possible to turn up.
If the media catch onto this, it might start to turn the AFL's spotlight away from the politics of the game for a while, and actually think about the fans. But of course what we really want is the club and MOST IMPORTANTLY, THE PLAYERS, to sit up, listen and take notice of what the fans really think.
So, Joel, have you brainstormed some ideas for the flyers yet? What text are you looking at putting on them? Reply with some ideas if you have them.
