Subject: 3DD Memories of the Beggining

It was Halloween 1998 when i first saw 3 Doors Down. A friend of mine Jammin Joe ( whos credit appears in then inside cover) was a DJ at a small club south of Escatawpa at the time. He was pumping me up about this band that was playing there that night called 3 Doors Down. I took Joe's comments pretty serious as he's DJ'd clubs from Vegas to Miami. So i called some buddies and we all went and checked them out.
At the time there were only 3 guys in the band.
They were wearing this wicked face painted masks for Halloween that was off the hook funny but really cool at the same time. Right away I noticed the singer (Brad) was also the drummer and did both as if it was nothing. That takes skillz! Needless to say they ROCKED!!
My Buddies and I would go see them play at different bars and clubs along the MS Gulf Coast over the next year and half whenever we could, up until they got signed by Republic. 3DD got better and better each time we saw them.
The Crowds went from 30 or so, to hundreds a show, to thousands right before they got signed.
The last time I saw them, right before they got signed, was at this place called Cucos, which is a resturant/bar on the Beach in Biloxi. 2 to 3 thousand people showed up for that one, spilling out onto the Highway and beach, (good thing they were playing outdoors). I tell ya, the mosh pit was a GOOD place to be for that one! (ah i love living by the beach)
Anyways enough of me talking. oh and to everybody out there before you make any judgements about 3DD, you have to see them LIVE at least once. They put on an awesome show!!

3DD you guys rock! I hope to see Wasted Me on your next album as that one is my favorite song. It makes for a great mosh pit experience :)
