i'm looking for help everywhere and anywhere for this loving being- here's he story:

yesterday a very large, fairly young male pitbull (collarless) found me, rolled over to be scratched & loved, and i took him inside - a bit dirty - i fed/walked him - he is friendly to other dogs & children and showers me with love - but he would have gone after my cats if i'd not had a leash on him - he has relatively small, (healing) wounds on a front flank, and he is NOT neutered - i guess his age around 1 yr. but? - i don't think the ears are clipped (there's some curl in them) - he is a huge, playful, loving puppy!

none of the area vets or shelters have had any calls about him -

he is such a precious being! - i can't bring myself to set him roaming alone in this area - large brutish human males brag around about fighting pitbulls, even tho it's illegal here - also, they are often kept in small cages....... the wounds & 'in place testicles' make me wonder if he was beginning to be fight trained-

the county shelters cannot legally take in pitbulls other than to kill them - the spca shelter has a 2 month waiting list -

i have cats! he is locked in one small room unless i walk him - he is starving for attention, a consistently loving atmosphere, & more space! TX: houston/galveston area
