Here is an update. I took Beau to the vet today, he is heartworm negative, free from parasites/worms, and he got his rabies shot today. The vet believes he could be about 2 yrs old but she said it is hard to tell because his teeth are worn from living on his own for a while. I am surprised he is that old because his behavior is very puppy-like(friendly, energetic). I have delayed getting the rest of his shots because I really have to watch my budget since I do not have a permanent job right now. I figure food is more essential than all his shot at the moment. Yes, my budget is tight... but if someone could provide Beau with a good home ASAP I could probably swing covering his neuter and rest of his shots - I really dont want to have to turn him into a shelter that will euthanize him just because he is part pit bull.
