Yesterday my wife and I heard from a friend about a 8 week old brindle that was going to be put down because the woman that owned it was unable to care for her. We decided to take her into our home and we have found out the hard way that she bites constantly and very hard. We have a border terrier mix that we had adopted about a year ago and I have owned dogs all of my life but we have never had a dog that bites this much.
My wife and I are planning to have kids in the near future and we are a bit concerned with safety issues. Because she is only 8 weeks old but she will bite anypart of the body that she can get ahold of. She even has shown aggression towards our other terrier. We are beginning to wonder if we made a rash decision. Could anyone tell us how to break her of this bitting. We've tried to apply pressure to her tongue when she bites the hands-the only problem is that she will latch on tho any piece of skin that she can reach. Please help us because we want to keep this girl.
