Chachie and her 12 pups were spotted over a wall by our friend, Maricella, not far from our home in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. All were emaciated, dying of hunger and thirst. No one could get into the house to save them, a house the owners left locked, apparently forgetting about the animals or perhaps hoping they would die quiet deaths. Maricella and her friends poured food and water over the wall for several days until they finally got in and brought out Chachie and 11 of the pups. One had died. All were covered in feces, fleas, and barely standing. Four of the pups were adopted by those who saved them, and the other seven were brought to our house where they were fed, watered, bathed, and have lived now for a couple of weeks. It is amazing how a little food, water, and love can turn things around. They turned around for Chachie and Company.

My husband and I are driving back to Texas on June 10, 2004. Chachie and her babies need loving homes in the U.S. I will not leave them here and I cannot adopted them here as they are raised for fighting in this country.

I do not believe the puppies are full Pit Bull but cannot be sure. I am not that familiar with this breed but have certainly found out what loving, loyal creatures they are.

Yours in rescue,
