have found an abused pitbull that is chained up 24 hours/7 days a week. This dog has been chained up over two years in a vacant dirt lot. It is behind a locked chain link fence. I would like to rescue it -- but I need to find a place to take it. I already have two dogs -- or else I would take this Sweet Girl.

I go by as often as possible and try to feed her by throwing food to her. She is very alert and smart. I can take a picture if necessary. We have contacted our council people and animal shelter and they told us that it is legal to chain the animal up like this.

Please advise. It breaks my heart to see an animal treated like this. Can someone help us find a good home for Sweetie girl -- someone with a big yard so she can run and play -- not be chained up.
