Subject: How is everybody?

Dear Ying boys and gals,

I am just bored by writing all those reports and proposals (it's the beginning of a new fiscal year in Japan), so I checked the site again. Hey, where is everybody?

Can you write a few words to thank Ah Por for managing this website?

Just let you know a little bit of my schedule in 2002: Will be very busy writing books (2 books) this spring. Will attend a meeting in Malaysia in May or June. Will attend the International Ornithological Congress in Beijing in August. Go to Tibet for a field research in September. Probably visit Yangon (Rangoon) in October. Will go to Spain for the Ramsar Convention Conference in November. In early 2003 will go to the wild side of Myanmar again.......

I don't know whether I can take any vacations. Well, some of you might think my job looks as if I am always on vacation.

That is not true. Travelling on business is not the same as vacation. You will understand if you know where I usually stay and what I usually eat in these trips.

Wanna visit to Cuba before Castro dies. Hang on, Fidel....

P.S. I admit I did take a few days off last week. My brother and sister came to Japan and I took them to Hakone to watch cherry blooms and went to the new Disney Sea in Japan (very obviously not my idea). Good to meet my sibling again.
