To all,

I made an inquiry to PC Alumni Web site about the cost of hosting Ying's web page. Below is their reply. I would like to hear your comment on this issue. Are there alternatives?

Dear Ken:

Thank you for your email. It is always exciting to hear form PC
alumni. As I recall and I just went back to check the
PUICHINGALUMNI.NET guest book, Lai Po Kay
denislai@one.net.au left a message on 6/18/00, saying that an
unofficial web site of your class was established by him. I have not
had the opportunity to visit that site yet but I would like to relate
this to you.

PUICHINGALUMNI.NET was established and managed, at least for
now, by 3 PC 73 alumni in Toronto on voluntary basis. The site is
funded by the surplus that we generated from our 25th reunion in
Toronto held in 1998. All 3 of us are not tech people and we hire
outside help, at the wholesale rate, to design and maintain the site.

Please visit the sites of 1938 and 1947 thorugh puichingalumni.net.
We donated the sites to those two classes since they have passed
their Golden (50th) annuversary. Each site costs us about
CAN$900. I suggest that you budget CAN$1,500 to 2,000, unless
your site is really simple. Also, you should budget a monthly
posting fee of about $30 to 50, and if you want to update/change
your site, there will be charges depending on what you want to do.
You may be able to save a little bit of money if you submit your
articles/stories and photos in electronic format.

In any event, please let us know what you will do. Let us know you
site address as soon as you have it, and we will link it to
puichingalumni.net.
