Well, I arrived in Indonesia in late May and Sumatra on 31 May. Went into the jungle for almost one month and a half (with a short break to Thailand where I met Tsui Bak). In the jungle I walked kilometers evreyday (have to cut the trails sometimes) - sometimes have to walk for 6 kilometers. Have seen many gibbons, hornbills, wild boars and a very close encounter with a Sambar Deer (about 10 meters for 5 mintues), and tracks left by tapir, wild cats, procuipines ete. And of course many other birds that you may not know their names. Bitten by leeches everyday and have scars all over my legs. Seen many snakes (including a Reticulated Python, the longest snake in the world - Anaconda in S America is the heaviest but not longer - which was a quite specimen as it is at least 4 meters long) but they are friends of mind and we know how to respect each other.
Have stayed in a hospital in Jambi (South Sumatra) for four days (a personal record too) because of malaria.
Will go back to the forest again.
