Subject: A second 20-something

I sometimes feel very sorry about Ah Por - he did us a great favor to establish and maintain a website but almost nobody is interested to leave even one sentence like 'thank you', 'well done' or 'I love you' etc. Why everybody's so indiffernet to nice things? Are we really too old to be excited?

That's why I don't want to get old. Losing feeling, losing creativity and losing appreciation of nice things are terrible - much more terrible than losing hair.

Almost all of us are - I am sorry to say that - in our 40s now. (Damn! Damn! Damn!!!!) Last year a young Japanese girl (in her late 20s - young enough to me) asked me how old I was. I hate to tell a lie (you know I am always honest). Then I said 'Nidome no hatachi' (20 years old for the second time). She thought for a short while, then showed four fingers while a puzzled face. I nodded with a 'damn' in my eyes. Then she laughed. She told me she was surprised (she thought I was in my early 30s)- and I was glad to hear that.

Age does not matter. as long as we still appreciate good things,a nd enjoy our life.

That's all I want to tell my old classmates. Particularly some of you.

You know it's you.

imamade mo aishiteru yo.
