Some people like making life hard for themselves.
What's wrong with good ol' cereus seedlings - about one year old, (very succulent and very juicy) which are a dime a dozen or even a handful of seed out of one fruit will produce thousands. So why worry about the rare ones - you must do too much reading and not enough grafting.
