Subject: Fungus / moss / algea / "Green Stuff"

Okay i have set my seed again, well some of it. I have a 4 teer stand with lights so i can sow all my seed and bring them up through the cold months and then put them outside as well established seedlings in spring (September).

I use a mix of systemic fungicide, pesticide and a mild mix of liquid fertiliser. This is what i soak the medium in prior to sowing the seed and then placing them in baggies. Oh, I also microwave the medium to sterilise. Now some of the containers get a cover of green after a week or so(I think this is algea but not sure) this seems to either kill or stunt my seedlings.

Does anyone know what I can do to avoid the "green stuff". Or another method.

Cheers, Adrian
