Subject: ponytail palm

Help!!!!! I just repotted a very expensive ponytail palm in a clay pot with cactus and succulent potting mix. I read a few things that it would do well in this type of soil. However, it has only been a few days and the potting mix is pretty moist and I haven't even watered it. Does this kind of potting mix stay moist like this? Should I repot it in regular potting mix? I dont want it to die on me! It is in a west window getting plenty of sun. Any input would be great. Thank you......lisa
