I completely agree with Cassie in her saying that there is a chance that Lani will not develop breast cancer because she
does not carry the gene, but the number of women who
contract breast cancer through a gene is extremely
minute. The majority of cases of breast cancer are not
caused by genes. Your chances now are a little less, but not enough less. This may give Lani that false
sense that she is more protected from breast cancer
than she actually is.
