I agree with Morgan. Being tested due to a need for control over one's life is a legitamate reason to be tested. Knowing that she has the mutation that causes ovarian cancer, Sherry can make a personal decision regarding marriage and children. She will also be able to have better control over the cancer because knowing that she has ovarian cancer and the cause of it, she knows what types of treatment she can get. She will also be able to live her life to the fullest knowing that she only has limited time left. In these ways, the tests have been able to give Sherry a sense of control and that is a very viable reason for being tested.
