Jaci is totally right. While it is certainly a relief for a woman to know that she does not carry the marker gene, it does not clear her 100%, but rather simply places her on the same scale with every other woman of normal risk. She is certainly not in the clear and should not think of herself as immune to the disease. She should take the normal precautions of every other woman and avoid a false sense of security.
