Huh? Is this connection/representation being made solely on the basis of the color of his skin? He got off because he had the best legal help his money could buy. He was guilty as sin and yet the inept LA police couldn't manage to garner evidence properly in order for Marcia to get a conviction (plus she didn't do her homework either). Railroaded? Hardly.

Er... Yes! You find it outrageous? Does it offend you? Okay, maybe you don't want to hear about those who have been oppressed "connecting" with Heroes who look like them, or people deemed to be victims, but it's true.

I know why O.J. got off! I think I stated that it was because he had the best legal team money could buy. If the inept LA cops weren't so intent on taking the legal system into their own hands, they would not have given O.J's legal team the ammunition that they had to free him.
Guilty as sin? No! Not in this country, not until the jury comes back with a verdit.
Railroaded? No, but I didn't say that he was. What I said was that those who had been railroaded looked to see how the system would work for somebody who did have the money to provide himself with the best legal team.

Okay, I misunderstood what you were trying to say.
Not outraged or offended. (Well actually that whole trial on tv was outrageous and offensive I guess).
And I know that he was not found guilty in a court of law. Go forth OJ, tee off!
He's still guilty as sin. Not legally. But in reality. And morally.

I have to believe things will get better for all in the future, I look at it this way 100 years ago I and my children (1/2 native Americans) would have been ostracized and called vile names. One day! We can only hope, and continue to try to enlighten people. Nothing like discourse (friendly and not) to bring about understanding. And believe me, I wasn't trying to defend our country's legal system. Justice is not blind. Colorblind or otherwise. Money talks. Bullshit gets ten to twenty.

I know where you were coming from. I think that all of us see the injustice. We just have different ways of approaching it. That's cool, makes for discussion. It's when we stop discussing that we are in trouble.
