............I read an article a few weeks back where someone present at a middle managment meeting at Enron overheard them talking about how lazy people on welfare were. How a lot of people on welfare take advantage of the system etc......It just got me thinking that a lot of people who really aren't wealthy identify with the fat cats. But when fat cats are corrupt, tax payers end dolling out a lot more money. This reminds me of Howard Keating and the Savings & Loan debacle.

[> This whole Enron subject hits close to home. I am graduating as an accountant in Houston . Enron and Andersen were two of the largest recruiters. Not only did a lot of companies quit hiring after 9/11, we now have all of these laid off workers to compete with. I know some people that went to Enron and Andersen last summer, and I worry about them. I hope they are all right. I was so heartbroken when Enron did not give me an interview last summer. My mom told me that we can't always see how things work out for the best when I told her how disappointed I was. She was right! -- CrazyCat, 17:58:04 03/07/02 Thu
