*Urban Sprawl is our future, [is now]. Drive to the outer cities, into the suburbs, and you will see unplanned architecture, shopping strips, convenience stores, cookie cutter housing. To drive down such a street, you cannot tell by looking where you are; as everywhere in the United States looks the same, where urban sprawl is. And it is not good looking; the art of architecture disrespected entirely. [It is possible to have your nice home, with the great back yard, and still not have urban sprawl.] …It is true that cars are too expensive to demand everyone afford; yet, they rid of fair transportation. Fair transportation is not only very cheap, [which is legal only, as transportation is a basic safety issue], fairness allows individuals the ability to get anywhere, and to get there in an expedient manner. ….Even if we had enough gas; even if cars were clean; even if cars did not murder, thus destroy lives everyday; even if cars hadn’t destroyed our cities, by creating spaces only for cars, thus unfriendly to pedestrians, still, you wish to cement the planet? You wish for everywhere to be ugly. Bumper to bumper traffic is deserved. …Cities must not allow cars in them. Rich people can stop being lazy, and understand anyway, that if public transportation is convenient, then you won’t have a problem with it, will you? If you don’t like it, the poor people can have bad transportation, or none at all, is a very deep serious moral problem then, on your behalf. …Greed did this. And car companies will always build some cars, especially for rural areas; and they can produce walking speed transport, and the government can help them transfer to other products, if needed. But cars in the cities are gone will bring our cities back to pedestrian friendly, has a lot more to do and see; thus, our cities will be ten zillion times nicer. He who walks, takes public transportation today, knows their city better then you. Always.

Chapter 15: 1945 - 1951: History of the United States of America

U.S. Troops now occupied Germany, Italy, and Japan. Regardless, within two years, the air and naval forces were cut back. Congress passed the Servicemen’s Readjustment Act, creating the GI Bill of Rights, (GI means ‘government issue’). This Act allowed for cheap loans to help Servicemen start a business or buy a house, pensions, hospital care, and educational opportunities. These loans with low interest rates, helped the housing industry.

The economy would have typically gone into a postwar depression, as with past wars, except this time, wages had been increased, and people could afford. Thus the economy was booming bigger then ever in American history. Even the conversion from war time production easily slid into peace time production, due to consumer affordability. Or rather, new industries due to technology were now here, [transportation, communication, electrical products.]. However, people could afford to purchase.

Wage and Price Controls and war time regulations continued however. The Republicans won both Houses in Congress, due to the desire to take regulations off of business.

Directly after the Congressional elections, President Truman issued an Executive Order ending Wage and Price controls on everything but housing, November 1946. With these controls off, along with the fact that some commodity was in short supply, led to inflation. Wholesale prices rose 32 percent. As, there wasn’t enough housing built during the Great Depression, so now there was a housing shortage. Truman attempted to provide federal subsidies for housing; but Congress refused this, due to concerns over the deficit, which is now the biggest deficit in American history. Regardless, the housing situation straightened itself out, because the economy was actually booming; therefore, private business began to build this greatly needed housing.

Labor demanded raises, due to the inflationary trends. Most of these disputes were settled, except in the railroad and coal mining industries. President Truman ended the railroad strike, when he threatened to declare a national emergency and draft the workers into the army. …Regarding the mine workers coal strike, the government seized the mines and issued a federal injunction that forced the miners back to work.

The Republicans felt they won Congress largely due to the idea that the public wishes for the Unions to have less power. So they passed the Taft-Hartley Act of 1947, overriding Truman’s veto to do so. The new law demanded a cooling off period of 60 days, before either employer or union could end a contract; and unions now, cannot contribute to a political campaign; cannot take union dues out of paychecks, without consent of the employee; and management can seek injunctions in times of strikes, to sue union officials for violation of contract; and no more “closed shop” agreements.

Fortunately, for the U.S. economy, organized labor did also make gains securing wage increases, -- including wages that automatically go up with inflation. As they gained security for old age; retirement pensions and health insurance. 1948, the first such contract was signed by the United Automobile Workers and the General Motors Corporation.

On one hand, people were affording, more then ever before. On the other, the inflation that occurred lowered the standard of living after the war, compared to 1942.

However, The Employment Act of 1946 was created the very same year the price controls were taken away. “To promote maximum employment production and purchasing power.” [About.com]

Same year, 1946, a massive strike in almost all industries, including municipal workers, utility workers, transportation workers, communication workers. Why this was very unusual and nearly brought everything to a stop. Some Union workers went on strike even though the Union said not to.

1948, the presidential election seemed to be an easy win for the Republican’s. With Governor Thomas E. Dewey of New York as their nominee. The economy was good, and they praised our great American free enterprise system, calling for minimum regulation over business. How could they loose when the Democratic party, nominee of course, President Truman, had to deal with a party split 3 ways. As the southern “Dixiecrats” formed a separate party, because they were against the Democratic civil rights platform promoted by the President and Mayor of Minneapolis, Hubert H. Humphrey, Jr. This civil rights plank urged Congress to support equal rights for all people: the right for every adult to vote; equal opportunity in the workforce; the right of equal treatment within the armed forces. Truman and Humphrey were already promoting anti racism measures. Ever before the civil rights movement in the 1950’s, President Truman integrated and protected the rights of black people in the armed services.

But for some in the Democratic party, Mr. Truman was not liberal enough; thus the Progressive party split away from the party as well. Former vice-president Henry A. Wallace led the Progressive party; Governor J. Strom Thurman from South Carolina led the Dixiecrats, -- who were against the equality of man/civil rights. [Thought they could differ in opinion here with God.] ……. During the campaign, President Truman toured the country denouncing Congress for their inability to act and do right on important issues. However, the Democrats were split in 3 ways; and when this occurs, rarely will the party win; as a newspaper came out with the big headline that Dewey won! Except, he didn’t. Truman won 303 electoral votes; Dewey 189, Thurmond 39, and the Progressives won zero delegates.

At his State of the Union Message in January of 1949, he called for a Fair Deal, -- to continue in the same way Roosevelt had done, to create a public Welfare department; but the Republicans catered to racism, thus any concern for the basic safety of the poor was something they were against. …As being against over regulation of business, especially small business is fact to be against; thus agreed; however, when it came to the poor, the bigoted people are “better”, equals the degree of low worth. ….The majority in the Republican Party therefore, were against civil rights. However, President Truman between 1949 and 1952 was able to extend social security benefits, to raise the minimum wage for workers in interstate industries, and to build low income housing.

[The caricature of the guy wanting just to stay home and not work. …Truth is, mean people are equally distributed among the rich and poor alike. Mean people lie. If they are in the work force, they hurt people on purpose. This caricature beer drinker, un-ambitious person, if understood actually, will be cured, unless a true sociopath. I don‘t want people who will hurt others on purpose working. They will need to be taken care of to be okay. Until they get well, or, it is proven a person is a true sociopath! Typically, with minimum wage jobs, that have the high employee turnover, it is the sociopath behaving people who work, the bullies; thus the good people are not allowed to work at such places. Sociopaths worship money the very most.]

[The poor people I have ever known in my life often work 12 hours a day, every day of the week, -- some only one day off, which is emotionally abusive. The kid who had a mom leave his life, and Dad isn‘t allowed a job that will support us actually, is angered that there is no money to move side ways. He is angered that his Dad is not allowed to make his way. In integrity personally, follows the golden rule only, in his response to this violence against his family. It takes two people to support one household is immoral. During the 1950’s, Mom is normal to be home, taking care of the house, being there, when the children come home from school. As marriage is ideal for this; one spouse works, the dad in this era, and mom can take care of the home and children. It is what is supposed to be; we did know this very deeply.]

The Atomic Energy Act, 1946, gave government full control over nuclear fission. ……..The National Security Act of 1947 was intended to unify the three branches of the Armed Services. ….The Presidential Succession Act, 1947, passes the succession to the presidency on to the Speaker of the House, if something happens to the president and vice president. As well the 22nd Amendment to the constitution came about; so now, presidents can only have 2 terms in office. The Reorganization Act, allowing ex President Hoover to head a commission studying how to reorganize government. 1949, Congress wrote many of his recommendations into law.

Communism has the bomb. By 1947, President Truman issued an Executive Order calling for an investigation by the FBI concerning the loyalty of federal employees. The beginning of a terrible red scare period. They were looking for communists. By 1951: .. 2000 employees lost their jobs under accusations against their moral characters, -- for they are subverseries. …1948, the FBI investigates the Communists of the United States. Immediately, 11 Communist leaders were indicted under the Smith Act of 1940: tried and sentenced to prison for advocating the violent overthrow of our government. [But did they do that?] …1950, the McCarran Act/Internal Security Act, required all Communist organizations to reveal their membership lists, and give the state their financial statements. Now, the biggest Red Scare period, has a totalitarian feel to it ironically, is on the horizon.

Meanwhile, the United States representatives no longer were against a League of Nations, or rather now, the idea of the United Nations, -- although the fear of the “we will defend our allies if attacked” will bring us into wars, was still the main concern; regardless, we have the problem anyway. …Meeting at Dumbarton Oaks, an estate in Washington D.C.:
The U.S., the U.S.S.R., Great Britain, and China met to discuss how this United Nations will be structured, (the Soviets, represented by Ambassador Andrei Gromyko wanted 16 representative delegates, which did not go over well). Ultimately decided: the U.S., Great Britain, U.S.S.R., China, [France also, soon], will hold permanent seats; one veto will make an idea proposal go away. But they were deadlocked as to whether or not this veto could occur with less important issues.

February of 1945, the Yalta Conference. There, Roosevelt, Churchill, and Stalin agreed that 2 Soviet led states, the Ukraine and Byelorussia, will be admitted to the United Nations. [They were showcased however, as independent nations; although they were not independent of the Soviet Union.] They worked out voting proposals for the Security Council of the U.N. and set a date for a United Nations Conference, to be held in San Francisco April 25, 1945. ….50 nations showed up for this conference. …The United States officially joined the United Nations 3 days after the bombing of Hiroshima.

“We the peoples of the United Nations, determined to save succeeding generations from the scourge of war…to promote social progress and better standards of life larger freedom…”

So now: the United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration; the International bank for Reconstruction and Development of the Internal Monetary Fund. To supply food, clothing, shelter and medical care to war torn areas in the world. To provide money for ruined industries. The U.S. spent great sums, contributing supplies, equipment, loans and the assistance of specialists and experts. …The International monetary arrangements, created the Fund and the World Bank, to ensure an open capitalist international economy. [International companies are here in full force now: Sheraton Hotel, Continental bank, Harford Fire Insurance, Avis Rent-a-Car, etcetera.]

The Soviet Union behaved funny. But not funny ha ha. Even before the war was over, they began to expand their influence, aggressively sending Moscow trained communists into every country on earth. Is what was said. ,,,By 1940, the Soviets had already incorporated large portions of Poland and Rumania and East Germany, Hungary, and Czechoslovakia. Their influence reached into war torn Italy and Greece. As well, the Soviets had control of territory in the far east, once belonging to China and Japan. And, the Soviets had the bomb.

Stalin was actually, in reality, scared. He had hoped that the Soviet Union would receive reparations from Germany. And after the Yalta Conference, his feelings on this issue seemed brushed aside by Truman, as the U.S. now had the bomb, before the U.S.S.R.. And Stalin was very cruel to his own people. Cruel people assume you are as untrustworthy as he. So Stalin did hold real suspicion within his own heart, -- although it was ludicrous to think the U.S.A. will attack without being in full truth, defending ourselves from invasion. Thus, he likely did feel genuinely, that he needed those eastern European countries as a buffer against the U.S.

The Soviets defended their rights to these satellite territories, saying it was to protect themselves from capitalist nations who may wish to attack them. Thus, the Soviet Union never demobilized their forces, when the U.S. did! To the American people, this was odd, and made it look as if, oh no, maybe we are dealing with another Hitler, -- pathological liar with extreme evil intent. On top of this fear, is that living in the Soviet Union was living in a fierce dictatorship, where censorship was only; as Stalin himself, was a terrible leader to the people in the Soviet Union, -- threatened with prison [camps], mental homes, or murdered, if the government wills, for an individual. For political reasons. And, if this wasn’t all enough to be concerned over, the U.S.S.R. refused to become a member of the U.N.’s Education, Scientific, and Cultural Organization, [UNESCO], to promote understanding. …As it seemed the Soviets were hiding their activities/intent behind an “iron curtain”.

The Atomic Energy Commission was created at the United Nations. Representatives from the U.S., Bernard M. Baruch proposed international control of all fission materials. He proposed that all atomic material be under an international agency; and, the U.N. should have full authority to enter any country and inspect their atomic energy installations. The U.S., Mr. Baruch said, will not reveal any atomic secrets until it is promised swift action against nations that violate agreements made. ….The Soviet Union vetoed this. Didn’t wish for international inspections, made the U.S. suspicious of the Soviets. Why would you not join a program for peace and understanding, all the while refusing nuclear inspections?

The Soviet Union demanded the U.S. destroy all their nuclear weapons, then we will.*

Said General Frederick Osborn, deputy United States representative to the Atomic Energy Commission, 1948: “Apparently, the rulers of the Soviet Union do not desire--perhaps do not dare-- to raise the iron curtain at this time.”

The Big-5 powers, the permanent seats of the U.N.: Baruch had also suggested that all 5, the U.S., U.S.S.R., China, Britain, and France give up their rights to veto anything concerning nuclear energy. …Except the Soviet Union now, was not behaving as if with the U.N..

The Truman Doctrine was born, concerning the fear of Soviet expansionism, which actually, did seem to be the case at this time. A policy of Containment now.

So when the Greek Communists, supported by the Soviets, were about to seize control of the Greek government, and the Soviets were attempting to force Turkey to give up control of the Dardanelles, [a strait between Europe and Asiatic Turkey], not far from the Suez canal region, simply: This aggression is why the Truman Doctrine was born March 12, 1947. To “help free people to maintain their free institutions and their national integrity.” To protect countries from dictatorship, which is what the communists were.

Truman asked Congress for funds to help Turkey and Greece defend themselves against the communists. Congress appropriated 400 million dollars.

The Marshall Plan was created by Secretary of State George C. Marshall, to help European countries get their farms, factories and transportation systems running properly again. The U.S. will provide money to any country that agrees to cooperate. Even the Soviet Union. The European Recovery Program [ERP]: To carry every European on our back, was what the dissenters said; however, Congress passed the program overwhelmingly. The President appointed Paul Hoffman to head the Economic Cooperation Administration. Wisely stated it was, that if we revive the European economy, [preferably, all economies], there won’t be poor suffering people who will think they should be communist only because of the welfare programs protecting their basic safety. If I feel fiscally safe, a dictatorship with a safety net for the poor, will not be acceptable to one living soul.

A real safety net in the U.S. would have solved this problem, instead of a communist witch hunt. But President Truman knew creating prosperity will be The way to prevent Soviet expansion; because prosperous people won’t be fooled.

Back to 1945, and Germany had been split between Great Britain, U.S., France, and the Soviet Union, who controlled East Germany. The city of Berlin was deep into East German territory. Suddenly, in hopes of gaining all of Berlin, the Soviets cut off all transportation to Berlin, from free West Germany. A massive airlift began. The famous Berlin Airlift of supplies from the west to Berlin. In the summer of 1948, more then a 100 million airplanes flew in with relief supplies. It was the United Nations who helped resolve this issue, 1949. However due to the distrust created by the U.S.S.R.’s actions, is why the U.S., Canada, Iceland, and other European countries created the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, NATO. “…that an attack upon one country is an attack upon all of them. {The original objection for joining the League of Nations.} And, as Congress must declare war, before we can be in one: Congress approved NATO anyway.

“The European Recovery Program strengthened its economic structure and, by so doing, eliminated much of the discontent that had so often led people into Communism.” [1]

Meanwhile, Great Britain had given up colonial powers in India, so they did the same in Palestine. Jewish nationalists were there already returning in numbers; as the Jews were run out of Palestine, then called Judea, almost 2,000 years before. It is said that these nationalists simply overran and overtook Palestine, and renamed the land Israel. They have their country back now! But this could hardly have occurred without Great Britain and the United States approval* ….6,000,000 Jewish men, women, and children, brutally murdered in camps. This terror is why Great Britain, along with the U.S., simply gave Palestine to the Jewish people. A land now renamed Israel.*

Chiang Kai-shek, leader of the Chinese Nationalist forces were now fighting Chinese Communists, led by Mao Tse-tung, in a civil war they refer to as the “Cultural Revolution“.. The American General in the Pacific, George C. Marshall, felt U.S. support for Chiang Kai-shek was not going to be useful, because the Chinese National forces were not strong enough. Although he also felt, the U.S. forces originally, were belated and insufficient to begin with. By 1949, the Communists in China had won; so the National forces fled to Formosa, [today called Taiwan].

At the end of WW2, Korea had been divided as spoils: the North went to the U.S.S.R. and the south went to the U.S.A. The 38th parallel divided Korea. As the Soviet troops lined up along the parallel. 1948, both set up governments and claimed they were the true government for all of Korea. June 25, 1950, with Stalin’s influence, North Korea invaded South Korea. The South Koreans were terribly outnumbered, as North Korea took over the south. General MacArthur’s Troops in September “staged an amphibious attack against Inchon and then swept eastward across the peninsula, recapturing Seoul.” Reinforced by the United Nation’s Army, supported by air as well, they ran the North Koreans back up past the 38th parallel. All seemed accomplished, when suddenly, Chinese Communists rushed in to help North Korea. Everything was bad again, until MacArthur’s Troops once again chased them back across the parallel, to the North. MacArthur and U.N. Troops were seriously outnumbered; yet, still, they held on to South Korea.

The U.N. debated whether or not to go with MacArthur’s suggestion to blockade the Chinese coast, bomb the Chinese mainland, and help Chiang Kai-shek’s Troops. If they did however, the Soviet Union would think, well, they can do what they want, so can we. It was, decidedly, a bad suggestion. General Omar Bradley, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff said that invading China “would involve us in the wrong war, at the wrong place, at the wrong time, and with the wrong enemy.”

January 1951, President Truman ordered MacArthur to establish the strongest defense line near the 38th parallel; however, he forbade blockades or bombings in China. The Korean war turned into a stalemate. Every so often, Northern Communist Troops would try to storm the parallel; but they were killed by the thousands, and never succeeded.

MacArthur went over Harry Truman’s head to Congressional leaders, in hopes of persuading them to invade China. So Harry fired him. “I could do nothing else and still be president.” Said the President.

The president announced his Point Four program. To combat poverty and disease, to raise the standard of living all over the world. To benefit scientific and industrial advances. To be conducted by the United Nations. To strengthen foreign aid, and keep up military forces. The best defense against Communism is to raise the standard of living in all non Communist countries.

*Jewish people began moving to Palestine as early as 1875. By 1896, Theodore Herzl, a Jewish journalist living in Austria-Hungary, said the solution to anti Semitism in Europe, was to create a Jewish state, in Palestine, [ancient Judea]. A year later, he created the Zionist Organization, (ZO). Their first Congress called for Palestine to be their homeland. ….The Balfour Declaration 1917, was a letter from the British Foreign Secretary Arthur James Balfour to Baron Rothschild, a British Jewish leader. “His Majesty's government view with favour the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people, and will use their best endeavors to facilitate the achievement of this object, it being clearly understood that nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine, or the rights and political status enjoyed by Jews in any other country.” [wikipedia]
It was not in the open, in Great Britain‘s government, …the desire for a Jewish State in Palestine, the moment there is a Jewish majority there. 40,000 Jews arrived in Palestine from 1919 to 1923. …The British Mandate, 1922-23, drew the borders of Palestine, which included today’s Jordan. 1920, the Jewish National Council was created: a virtual Jewish government. … In 1933, the Nazis negotiated the Ha’avara Agreement, under which 50,000 Jews and $100 million of their assets would be moved to Palestine. As anti Semitism was at unbelievable heights in Europe. So now, a great deal of illegal immigration began as well. After WWII, illegal immigration even had Polish holocaust survivors jailed for attempting to move to Palestine. …..In 1946, the Jewish Resistance broke up, after the group bombed the King David Hotel in Tel Aviv, where the British Military headquarters were. 92 people were killed. The British placed a curfew in Tel Aviv and questioned 20% of the Jewish population. As the holocaust had already occurred, the U.S. became very indignant, and even held back loans to the British, in protest for the Jewish people in Palestine. ….The British, by 1947, handed this issue over to the United Nations, [they were unloading their colonies, -- as they were being peaceably forced to do so in India]. However, the British were still turning illegal immigrants back; holocaust survivors thrown in camps. ….The U.N. decided to partition Palestine, [as had occurred in India]. A civil war between the Arab Palestinians and Jews commenced. That war handled the conclusions, the Arab Palestinians were run out, their property stolen. As it should not be difficult in 2011 to understand that a fund can surely occur to compensate these Arab families now. That the golden rule does consider all sides concerns equally, always solves the issues straight away. Anyone on earth is from the same village everyone. All of us know the Apartheid state of Israel will stop. … Meanwhile, in the U.S., in southern states, the Jim Crow illegalities were occurring: black people could not drink out of water fountains for white people, they could not use the public restrooms for white people, et cetera. Black people could be refused service at restaurants. Such deep hatred for others solidifies how awful/insincere they were at home to their own people.

*The following was pasted off of about.com. There, many personal accounts by Jewish survivors of those terrible Nazi death camps. This is Rudy who was in Auschwitz, 1944. “We were assembled in long rows and marched between the troops of the SS special death-head division into the camp. We were marched up and down a broad avenue for four or five hours between posts of barbed wire with a huge sign, EXTREME DANGER, HIGH VOLTAGE ELECTRICAL WIRES. We saw guard towers high above us. We saw men with machine guns inside them, but even then we did not know that we were in a death camp. Back and forth and back and forth, they just kept us in motion. As it got closer to one o'clock in the morning, we were more and more desperate. You could hear more and more cries for food.
Finally they set out large boxes. Everybody had to put in their valuables. Women and men were forced to strip off their wedding rings and hand over their prized possessions like lockets of relatives no longer there. Whatever we had, we lost. Those who did not give up their possessions willingly or quickly were beaten. Then we were separated into male and female groups and walked to what they called the B camp of Auschwitz. The women's camp was separated from the men's camp by a wide road. There were about 24 barracks for men and the same number for women. The men in charge were called barracks' elders or capos. They were German criminals taken from German prisons and sent to oversee the people in the barracks.
………………In the morning we got metal cups and spoons. We were each given two slices of bread and sometimes a pat of margarine or a little bit of marmalade. The coffee was toasted acorns ground up. It tasted terrible. The midday meal was potato soup with maybe a little bit of meat. Potatoes were the main ingredient and the kind of beets you normally feed to cattle. We were already hungry in the Theresienstadt ghetto because we did not get enough to eat. In Auschwitz we were beginning to starve. In the evening we got another slice of bread, some coffee, no marmalade, no butter, no nothing.
……………………….We did not know that Auschwitz was an extermination camp or that we could be put to death. We did know that there was always this sickly sweet smell in the air……………..At Auschwitz people died of hunger because they had come to the camps already weakened. The people who had died were thrown or stacked at the very end of the barracks row underneath the watchtower. They were stacked like cordwood, naked, without dignity. Nobody to close their eyes. They were stacked four feet high. Every twenty-four hours a cart came. People were simply grabbed by the hand and foot and tossed on there. We knew they were taken to the crematory to be incinerated, but we still had no knowledge of the gas chambers and that people were killed or gassed in such numbers as they were."

Finally, after a while, government relents, a little, for a short bit. …By latter 1960’s, the once nice Pruitt-Igoe is now completely destroyed, because, government would not maintain the properties. Thus, they had to tear Pruitt-Igoe down. …..Government did it. No one else. If government had maintained the property, and kept security on the property, this story would have great successes instead. Governmental officials then criminally blamed the residents, to cover up their criminal neglect, -- criminal, because they even had to picket, the residents were so inconvenienced; criminal because they blame children for the neglect caused by Congress. *Blame the Pruitt-Igoe problem on children, politicians attempted to do, -- blames little children for what the grown politicians did only. Maintenance neglect, instead of maintain it. As the press at the time reported what politicians blame. ….True story: 1994 or close to it. Middle class neighborhood, town homes, where most of the children were white. Neighbors had this extremely beat up car in the parking lot; because the man who owned this old station wagon had it for parts. One day, 20 children were outdoors playing. I look out the window, and 20 children, including one of my own, were all in this car. Car parts were flying everywhere. They began to destroy the car. I managed to retrieve my child, who claims he was with the club, but not leader. Regardless. …These stupid children, all, thought it was okay because it was beat up looking first, just like housing that has zero maintenance. [looks like a toy, -- a broken piece of anything]. None of these children were truant types. Yes, my children were not allowed to do that. [During the same moment as the big car break in, my son who was not sitting in the car, (who did the illustrations for the school reform physics book online), …well, he got into this odd ruckus and ended up breaking a bottle on these very same peoples porch! However, explaining this to the lady who came to my door all upset, because vandals broke into their car and broke a bottle on their front porch, (a beer bottle no less), was a hassle, I tell you.] Normally, it was peaceful around this neighborhood. [That politicians did blame children, as their scapegoat to cover up gross neglect, does seem racist.]

*1950’s, workers providing services equaled then surpassed those creating goods. Farmers were now not only over producing, but big business farms were here, running off mom and pop farms. 1947, there were 7.9 million farms; 1998 had 3.4 million. [Only today, this may turn around, due to the desire for organic produce.] …..Federally sponsored high ways, suburbs, and malls. 8 malls after WW2. 3,840 malls in 1960. [Downtown shopping goes away as this occurs; leaving building after building vacant downtown, as there is not easy access parking. This also has begun to turn around, since the 1990’s, leaving malls with store after store vacant, due to recreating shopping districts downtown.]

* Stalin did not send someone to represent the Soviet Union at the U.N., when they voted to defend South Korea. Yet, in reality, it is not likely, as he was the invader, as is said, that they could have waltzed in to veto the protection of South Korea from Dictatorship. NATO, of course, was created after this action by the Soviet Union. [As it is sad, the 2 Korea’s became this because of other countries, -- originally caused by the horrible idea of colonialism.] …..Stalin died 1953. 3 years later Nikita Khrushchev, leader of the Soviet Union, at his speech at the 20th Century Party Congress, attacked Stalin’s policies. He had executed 1,000’s of loyal Communists during the purges. 1,000’s were released from prison. People in labor camps were allowed to publish their experiences. One such experience, was a novel published by Alexander Solzhenitsyn, entitled, “One day in the Life of Luan Denisovich”, -- was a best seller throughout the world. ….The extremes of the Stalin era went away; however, firmly in place now,.. a totalitarian state, with those in power protected.

*Let us pretend the Native American’s were rightly granted the Northwest Confederacy exactly where they had proposed this nation should be; and let us say this nation today, is a true democracy, honors the golden rule equally for all people then. As a white person of European decent, if I lived in this nation, I would be just as protected as the Native Americans. Thus, there would be no problem.

*I picked up a book about Iowa’s history. It was so terrifying concerning the Indian wars, that I practically threw the book. I picked up a book about the Chinese Cultural Revolution, the communist revolution. It was so terrifying, that I practically threw the book. Human suffering: Every person in existence I will learn/earn, is all of us. Will hear, and earn everyone‘s experience here on Earth. What one is put through, everyone else must also hear through it.

*Ironically, if the Soviets had gotten rid of their nuclear weapons first, in openness, the U.S. would have absolutely done the same; and the cold war would not have ever commenced.

*If it had been up to President Truman, we would have had a single payer system for health care, before I was ever born. If that had happened, many people would have lived longer, and the extreme inflation caused by the existence of health insurance companies would not have ever occurred. [Every early death, will be heard. Those who vote for criminal neglect, will hear they are murderers, will be admitted.]

*The Communists didn’t pay living wages. If they had, capitalism would have took hold anyway. Which it did anyway. [If they had, they would have not needed censorship; if fair is fair.]

*Just as, welfare programs promote a good economy if they put Real money in the pockets of the lower classes. But real welfare programs that allow for true self sufficiency have never occurred in our [U.S.], country, -- as they pretend placing someone in a class to teach you how to fill out a job application, instead of one on one attention, gets the true situation regarding the individual, thus does what is truly right for them. Real attention cares actually, to get to the true problems, will solve them, and bring this person to true self sufficiency. Degrading to be forced into dumb programs that Congress should have known could not possibly help one person.
If I tell you that no one will allow me to work: better believe me, or you murder, by seeing one can be refused work. Thus you better get me a job I can do, that I will be allowed to keep. Is government workforce has no good leads. Government Workforce workers push paper instead of attain jobs for people. Poor people can’t get jobs, because they need someone to help them. People who do not have a degree, and do have a job they are allowed to keep, always received help to get that job, if it is any good at all. [Keeping a job only if you are best friends with your boss; as bff with such a boss, does his mean bidding for him, -- destroys one's soul to keep that job then.] People who have no family who loves them, need government’s help. And you don’t tell people who have no support to go to work full time and be homeless. Truly vicious to do this.

*Ayn Rand is being mentioned again because she said how upset she was that it took her over 2 hours by Trolley to get to a job interview at 6:30 in the morning. When we know, in all cities except New York, you wouldn’t be able to get to that job interview at all.
Taking 2 hours to cross town, or walk an hour to get there, is okay for others? Then you are not okay spiritually is proven. …In Corpus Christi they didn‘t provide bus service to the beaches. Nor the big Cole Park. My joke, not funny haha was, that if I want to go to the beach, I can pay fifty dollars for cab service, one way, to the beach across the Laguna, or take a Greyhound bus to San Diego, California. Mean spirited to see the poor cannot go to the beach.
