Here be truth in a field of lies.
Nobody except Max and Brandie knows the truth of things behind their divorce better than I do. I can say this because I was there. When Brandie had to start nagging Max, I was there. When he resented it, I was there. When they started to fight I was there. I have seen the things that people here only speculate on and now I will tell you. Max and Brandie loved each other. In some way they still do and always will, it's just that sometimes love isn't enough. Max and Brandie have had a problem in communicating with each other for a long time, and to make a long story short that is the root of most of their problems. Cheating, lying and all of the other bullshit (most of which is being prolonged and made more painful because of this MB) comes after as a result of this problem. Max and Brandie did what they could to make their marrage work and even now there's no one to say that someday, in a distant galaxy far far away, it might not still. That's speculation though, and that's not what this post is about. The truth of it is that seventeen is too young to start a family. People change a lot between seventeen and twenty, and people who get married young do not always realize this. The trick to keeping a marriage together is to be able to grow together instead of growing apart and basically, Max and Brandie just grew apart. They stopped talking to each other. When Max found someone else to talk to is when the shit hit the fan, but I don't need to go into that.
What I have left to say about this is simple, and in parts to each person involved.
First, to Max. I have said more than once that you have always been a nice guy, and why you were so hateful to Brandie through all of this is beyond my grasp. I do want to tell you that I am proud of you though, because despite what has happened you are still being a good and caring father to Alexis. It takes a good person to be a good parent and though she cannot say it yet, I know Alexis appreciates it. She asks Brandie about you sometimes, and she does miss you. She's a very sweet little girl and I am SO glad you are being good to her. I give you mad props for being a good dad. I don't know how much that means coming from me but it's something I had to say. Also, you defended Brandie up here... which shows that you do still care about her feelings and that you are not made of stone. Again, props to Max.
To Brandie, well, you know how I feel and I've told you already, but I'm just going to put it up here for everyone to see. You're a very strong person, Brandie, and the way you have handled this is probably one of the best ways the situation could have been handled. It's been very hard on you but through it all you've been a good mommy, and you've gotten your poop in a group with a quickness. I'm proud of you too, and now I know that no matter what you're going to be all right. You're already on the upswing, and it's only going to get better from here.
To Ashley, if she still even reads this board, just one thing to remember. If he did it to her he can do it to you. Keep that in the back of your mind.

Eric, I have something special to say to you right here. I know you intended this board to be a pure form of expression, but there is absolutely nothing pure about hiding behind a computer screen and trying to cause pain and strife in the lives of others. There is a requirement in this forum that you include your name with a post and it is that way for a reason. It is my opinion that you remove from the forum any post that does not contain a name or some definate form of identification. Hence, a post from God congratualting Max on dumping Brandie would, in my book, be better off removed from the forum. If my sister wants to be a bitch, make her sign her name to it.
That's all that's in my little brain for now. Rumor mongers need not reply.
