Subject: Comments please . . .

I would like to know if anyone has done Sapphire Dreams. We received the paperwork and are considering it.

Also, what does anyone think of Universal Royalty? We did the Nationals last year but never received our scores. Our friends from California didn't either.

And . . . just because . . . anyone done Cinderella? We're doing that one March 30 but looked at a few others - Miss Ellis County has A Perfect Angel or something like that in March.

And . . . what do you think of Our Little Miss? That one is in April.

Sure would like to get comments about directors and honesty and all that.

I am mostly curious about feedback on any of the Texas systems. We are going to try many - some natural, some glitzy. I'm mostly interested in good and bad experiences people have had.

Like - since this pageant is in Alabama - All American Miss - We attended and had fun but the pageant is more about getting repete contestants to highpoint. That's fine for local kids but at Nationals, you're trying to draw from across the country. We, from out of town, were at a disadvantage. Not being upset - just like understanding the rules before I go.

Anyway, this will be the year of really picking a few systems and staying with them. Right now, we like to try out a lot of them.

[> we've done Our Little Miss. It's okay if you want all natural. No big pageant hair or make up, and don't even think about wearing a dress with the back out. They will disqualify you. The crowns stink. Their grand supream crowns look like most prelim divisional crowns. In order for you to win money you have to go to "worlds" whatever that is. This pageant is just a big waste of time. Also for the money your putting into traveling and so forth, it's just not worth it. -- Our Little Miss mom, 15:00:50 03/04/02 Mon

[> [> you could be wrong -- pageant contestant for over 13years, 01:22:47 01/30/06 Mon

i have been in many pageants and its not always about winning olm ive done a few times and its not as bad as it sounds and ive had a little sister who won world and had a great experience and i think most of what you hear are rumors you dont always know what your are talking about and if anything you get to help people in need ....you also get to meet new people .....

[> I have done OLM. I do not recommend it to anyone. If you want natural go to Cinderella. They keep their promises to their contestants. -- We recently gave their state pageant a chance again to have my daughter taken off points for a beauty walk Judges considered it Pro am, 23:50:33 03/04/02 Mon

[> [> The Miss American Angel Pageant(Miss Ellis County) is fun, and has a very relaxed atmosphere. We love it. The one this Sunday is Sunday Best with no glitz, but she is having one in May that will be total glitz. Haven't tried OLM, but one that is similar is International Miss. If you don't go on, you must give all the prizes back. State entry is min. of 340.00, and if you win state you have to go to Internationals or you lose everything. -- Stephanie Jackson, 00:40:21 03/05/02 Tue
