Oz is a HBO series that first appeared in 1997, most of all the cast members have a life span of sometime one season- or 3 episodes. The show is about prison life and the corrupt things that go on inside of them, all the way from rape- drug addiction. Oz is different because of the way things are portrayed, one moment you can hate a prisoner and the next root him on. OZ has alot of guest stars probably about 20 or more per season. If Roger's character is thrown into the hole and he's a new character most likely he'll be killed off this happens alot. It's a starting point for alot of actors that have been on the show, alot of the actors go on to star in more HBO shows, like their new show The Wire lots of killed off characters are now on this show. But anyway back to OZ, OZ has full frontal nudity whole lotta sexual contact between men and sometimes women. I've been watching this show since it first appeared, and it's very addicting. If RH is on the show, I think his character will most likely be killed off if seen as a threat or means to a end. Anything else you wanna know about OZ you can go to the HBO.com website and they'd be able to give you a better background of the show with a breakdown of every episode since the first. Oh, and if you'd like to catch up on it too, they've made DVD and VHE's the first season.
Aight, that's enough of rambling about this damn show.

Actually he COULD do both shows at the same time. Especially if the Oz thing is just a few episode thing, like Shonda said above.
(not that I have any clue as to the validity of EITHER rumor)

Roger could do both shows simultaneously if his character on OZ stayed or was killed. Oz tape their shows during the summer and airs them during the fall or sometimes spring too depending on how long the series is. There's a actor on OZ by the name of Christopher Meloni who also stars in another show Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, he does both shows with out any problems and has been doing this since 1999, and One show is in NYC and the other taped in LA so if RH has gotten the part it would be easy IMO to star in both.

OMG Shonda! I just happened to catch like the last 20 minutes of an epi. of The Wire yesterday in a hotel room....I thought I was watching some HBO movie, was so glad at the end they identified it as "The Wire". It looks like a GREAT series....very realistic portrayal of the hood, drug runners, gangs etc. I swear if I had the time, I would order HBO so I could watch that damn show. If this one ever comes out on DVD or video, I am SO there.

LadyDay you are missing out on the greatest shit to hit televison on HBO, Did you get to see The Corner? OMG, this was a miniseries a true story too. That struggled with family drug addicition, this was a gritty stuff girl. They showed everything about how the people feed their habit and what lengths they'd go to feed it. It was sad though, real sad. The Wire is creeping up on me, cause they might beat out OZ in my eyes. I love this damn show. HBO is a must wherever I go to. I tape every Sunday when these shows come on, another great show on HBO is Curb Your Enthusiasm, if you like sarcasm comedy you'd love that show. Damn, I'm babbling.

I saw a bit of The Corner. Yeah that looked like the real deal too. Don't know why I want to watch shit like that....I quit my job in that environment to be a stay-at-home mom, but I guess I miss my old clientele, LOL!
