You can watch goofy Todd, and you will stop watching the show when he leaves. (Got that!)

But what I don't get is where you kinda (blur) Blair's story into your decision to stop watching the show. From what I understand, when you heard that Roger was leaving the show, you made up your mind to stop watching OLTL.

I hate how they use Blair, Todd and Blair keep me watching, Blair on her own... MOST definitely, but only if she gets a good story. The only reason I'm sticking around for this incarnation of TRIPE, is because I think it might be fun to watch Todd torture the troll. If he stops torturing her and it turns into Mama Sneerest and her misunderstood widdle boy, I might not even last that long, so far, it remains to be seen. You know what the best part of Tripe this time around is? It's blessedly SHORT. BTW, Todd picking his ass is also MUCH preferable to Mama Sneerest's good widdle boy!

Anyway, I'll watch for a while, check out the direction, if I'm cringing then I'm going to turn it off. Kassie is a great actress, I love Blair a LOT, but damned if I bring myself to sit through another three or four years, HOPING like hell for a good Blair story this time around, because I'm basically apathetic about the rest of it anyway. It's just not worth it to me. Damn shame, that I've become that one note, but I am, and I own it.

Not the biggest goof fan on the planet, just one who thinks that's who Todd became during tripe, and I've yet to see any reason for him to change. TPTB have given him no consequences or any reasons to change it, Goof has been damned effective, you gotta admit. Up until he got busted, by Blair, Goof was doing his job. Yeah, it sucked that they had to turn Blair into a wimpy ass Donna Reed type... (I do have some BIG problems with THAT, incidentally) but in regards to the fictional reality of Todd, he's done a decent job of keeping Todd out of jail, on the loose and his family close to him, or somewhat close to him. Seems to me that Todd is quite good at settling for half ass. I'm not, but well... that really doesn't change Todd's POV whether I like it or not.

Booby Boy/Goof has been around a LOT of years, he's not just a Gary thing, after all, so NO, I don't blame Gary for da Goof. Do I blame Roger? NOPE, I blame the writers for not creative way OUT of it. Maybe this Dingo Island thing is it, I'm willing to bear it, if it is. Regardless of agenda, good storytelling is good storytelling. I've been saying it for a lot of years.... I will say that it is a DAMNED SHAME that at ABC Daytime who are too POLITICALLY CORRECT and UNIMAGINATIVE to write a viable villain who has more than ONE NOTE, if he's bad, then he must be humiliated and dragged to the lowest possible point and left there to ROT. If he's good, turn him into Superman and ram him up EVERYONE'S ass, then wristslap the folks who don't see the point. As if I am so stupid, that I have to be beaten over the head with a fricking stick?

It's insulting, plain and simple. I find Goof/Booby Boy less insulting this time around, because... I have seen enough of REAL Todd to know he exists. Oddly enough, I've always found that at the end of Todd's stories, I usually can look at the big picture and make some sense out of it, at least in my own mind. Call it spin, call it rationalization... whatever. If I don't get something that makes sense at the end, then I'll be proud to say so, feel used, angry and BITCH my fool head off, but well... until then, I'm waiting it out.

If they give me a nice Blair story, I'll stick around AFTER I bitch my fool head off, if they don't, well I'm out of there, cuz I'm not into SHIT for NOUGHT.
