Subject: •¤• Business prospects... •¤•

•¤• Seeking to avoid being noticed, the thin girl chose not to enter the city through the gate, but rather by sneaking underneath one of the walls which had fallen into disrepair. She stood up on the inside of An'kor City, though she couldn't see much from her place in the abandoned, trash-strewn alley. Apparently this used to be the poorer side of town. A grin appeared on her face as she quietly and carefully made her way through the winding passages, heading towards the main square. First, however, she stopped at a shabby, unoccupied building, which used to be a warehouse. The doorway was boarded up, but there was just enough room for her to squeeze inside, and she did, vanishing into the darkness. Smeared window panes allowed enough light in so she could see her surroundings, which consisted of several broken crates. A quick search of the boxes yielded some rat-gnawed blankets, a lantern, and a small knife. Pleased with herself, the young girl set the lantern and blankets in an empty box to serve later as her bed. •¤•

"Home sweet home..."

•¤• The thought came as she creeped back outside the building, once again moving towards the square. As she neared, she heard the hustle and bustle, the sounds of voices, the crack of a whip, the clatter of horse hooves on the cobblestones. Darting down a side alley, she dropped to all fours, carefully making her way to a spot where she could watch the activity of the square without being seen. •¤•
