•¤• Patient observation paid off when chocolate-brown eyes settled on JACQUELINE, standing oblivious in the middle of the square. Checking to be sure the small knife was within reach at her belt, the young girl slunk back into the shadows and stood, slightly hunched over, trying to look inconspicuous. She hardly made a sound as she wandered across the main square, moving lithely between persons, disturbing no one. She approached the stranger from behind, and as she passed, she purposely bumped into her, and reached out to grab the woman, as if trying to maintain her balance. All this was done with the expertise of any actor, since the "scene" had been run many, many times in Inara's short life. •¤•
