•¤• As Marcus began to work, cleaning out the rubbish that as scattered within the building, she turned sharply on her heel and strode out, leaving the half-hinged door standing open. The sun glared down with an unusual fierceness, so wiping the sticky sweat from her brow, she made her way across the square to the Inn & Tavern. The air hung heavily, no breeze wafting to relieve the intensity of the sun's heat. •¤•
