Seems obvious why nobody is talking tv! There is nothing on it but crap! Is the genre dead, or have we outgrown it? Just think, movie moguls feared that television would be the death of the movie industry. (

I switch from CNN to Fox to PBS(dry but refreshingly free of vaudeville) desperately searching for an articulate liberal to cheer. I am currently being represented by Paul Begala, James Carville and the milquetoast on Hannity and Colmes. And now I hear pompous ass Phil Donahue is getting a spot! God Damm*t! It's a f**king conspiracy, I tell ya, to get the lamest democrats EVER and put them on primetime. I'm half in love with Tucker Carlson, that's how bad it's become. EORant:) And all this time I've been driven crazy, Holly's been watching my fantasy.

I started watching Fox a lot when Geraldo went to Afghanistan. What's totally bizarre is that he comes off mild mannered compared to some of the anchors. And Greta Van Susteran doesn't seem quite as intelligent now that she's on Fox:)

I saw this one just the other night. It's for "Progressive", promoting the power of having a good web page at work for you. This woman is at the compter, and on it, she has a picture of her ex-lover. She performs cyber-voodoo on him, and with each click of the mouse, we see what every awful thing that happens to him. The final click goes toward his crotch. (

This is a Sears Commercial: The wife is sitting at the kitchen table, reading the morning paper and having a cup of coffee. Her husband enters the room, wearing a tee-shirt and his boxers. He goes to the refrigerator, takes out the carton of milk, and chug-a-lugs it, then makes his way over to the sink to spit it out. The wife very calmly says, "Fridge is out!" (

The thing about this commercial is that you get the sense that this bastard does this everyday as a matter of routine. He knows that his wife hates for him to drink out of that milk carton; he does it to spike her. (Did you see that look he gives her just before he gulps?) And she knows that he's going to do it, and never issues a word of warning until he does. I want to give her a huge high five! (

"24" On DVD
-- Lafaux,
00:41:43 07/24/02 Wed
I loved the ‘24’ season finale, but hated that Teri got axed after all she’d gone through. I might buy the DVD just to see the alternate ending. I also read an article that said the show will continue in its original format for the new season, which will take place one year after Teri’s death and include a possible new love interest for Jack. Hiss…boo! (

Ya know I am kind of hooked the real crime shows they have on A&E and the Dicovery channel. I like how they break down the crime and find evidence through science. Technology is fascinating in this regard. Even decades after a crime with a little science they can get justice for a victim. (

I agree and am so glad I got the heads up here and taped it when they reran it in back to back eps. I agree with you in regard to the mom from TN -Mrs Glenn -she wasn't very endearing but I appreciated that she played by the rules. The kids impressed me the more than most of the adults The teen girls were troupers! Mr Glenn was an ass for treating those girls the way he did when their cow was lost -I was teary eyed when Brooks found the kids and consoled them and got the cow home. That's who I was rooting for -Brooks, his father and fiance, great show and interesting study! Llanviewer N/T

Why did I love this show when I hate reality tv shows? I guess I didn't see it as so contrived, and I didn't watch it for the purpose of seeing who would fail. I guess I didn't see it as so contrived, and I didn't watch it for the purpose of seeing who would fail. I didn' t like the whining of the Malibu wife the first night, but I think that I saw growth in her character by the third night. I didn't like the Tennessee wife and mother, not in the beginning and not at the end. I love the Brookses! Nate was gorgeous, but I loved his attitude, his respect and love for his father. (

ABC to make Legally Blonde into a sitcom? It won't star Reese Witherspoon and the cast, but I think it's a horrific idea. When tv shows try and do the a spinoff of a movie it totally flops, just look at Clueless if anyone remembers that show. It's better to do a movie based on the television series because the characters are well known and already have a strong fan base, just look at movies like Charlie Angels, Mission Impossible, and X Files. I think the show gonna be another loss for ABC.

I knew that show by Sally Field was going to flop, It really wasn't that great of a show to begin with, NBC should have out her on contract over there on NBC's ER, Andy Richter show is hilarious, I loved him from many years of being Conan's sidekick now he's grown into his own perfectly. I saw a little snipet on Fox News last night about Russell Yates and Ozzy Osbourne being at the same studio at the same time. Russell supposedly started singing Black Sabbath songs and was asking people if he could get Ozzy's autograph. When Ozzy heard that Russell was in the building, he supposedly said, ''I'd like to burn his eyes out with a hot poker.'' Russell didn't get the autograph........I have no idea if this really happen. I know that the day she was sentenced, he was very composed, and all he wanted to talk about was how he could not have known she was like that. He was working his own public image instead of really commenting on the sentencing, and he kept talking about his kids' drowning so matter-of-factly. I could understand i he did one show, to separate fact from fiction, but it was like he was doing a tour or something.

I watch ER strictly for Abby and Luka. I love both of them. But I think it's getting really stupid. I think they're running out of ideas........Last night was a total rip off. The sad thing is they all acted about the same age as the kids in The Breakfast Club. And what's with Carter losing his virginity at 11 yrs. old? It was weird that they all laughed about it. Yuck.

I guess it's called Watching Ellie, but yes I watched both episodes and cracked up. The obnoxious ex-boyfriend is a scream. Very easy on the eyes and the ears:) I like his accent. I also like that he's such a nice guy unless he see's someone being hurt by someone else. Then he loses control because of what happened to his wife and children. I just find him really interesting and sexy. I was disappointed with the dule he and Carter had. I expected Luka to be more mature. But I chalk that scene up to dumb writing.

Well, it's slim pickens as I don't have HBO. The show I've enjoyed most this season is Bernie Mac. Really good kid actors. I watch 24 also. It's not perfect but it does have an interesting premise. Kiefer's character dodges an awful lot of bullets for one guy. He must have been really good at dodge ball as a kid. (

Tf: Do you have Nick? And if you do do you catch all the Monkees reruns? You know they have a home page, you can download their music and everything (

It's back on! When my kids were small, we all used to get a kick out of The Monkees on Nick. I remember it was on every day all summer. Nothing but educational tv for my kids:) (

You're right! The pickens are slim. I have seen both The Bernie Mac Show and 24, but unfortunately, I didn't get see the first few episodes. (

I love 24. Got a rant/rave (mostly Kiefer sailorspeak) at NSC. But

Hey Holly, you have me confused with someone else, I've never even heard of "Queer as FolK" I'm really out of the loop in here, I never watch nightime television, only the soaps. You can use ALL the sailor speak you want here, it's nobody's "Official" anything ..
Fuckity, Fuck Fuck Fuck

Holly! I think it was me who mentioned "Queer as Folk"! You're talking about Brian ... omg ... he's totally a gay Todd - and the most incredible thing - he's MORE Todd thanTodd is these days, WAY more Todd. I'm really glad you're liking it. Great storytelling, great acting - good stuff. Universal themes is what shoots (no pun intended) this show to the top of the "great show" lists ... :) (

I am really into the show Alias on ABC. I love that it is about a female spy and I am especially intriqued by Sydney's relationship with her father who is also a spy. It has great plots and turns and always leaves me hanging at the end. (
