Are you talking about the new board or the old one? Every post is labeled in the new board, and I find it just as easy to avoid posters I'm not interested in on the new one.

On the new board, you can see a list of everything a poster has written. Click on their user name, then click on show all posts. Easy to scan for topics, and comprehensive. But yeah, the old board was quicker for scanning.

>(3) You lose lurkers. This may not be a bad thing,

In genereal, I agree that the topics could be condensed. Passwords are easy, just click "Remember me" when you log in, and you won't have to log in (and remember your password). Of course that is per browser, let alone per computer. Again, trade-off. Doen't bother me at all, but I could see where people either don't accept cookies in their browswer or are loggin in remotely.
