Subject: Testing incompetence

The scientists doing the doping tests at the accredited facilities around the world must all be incompetent if you look at the statements by those found to be positive. (Tyler btw is not positive until his B sample correlates the A sample)

It seems 99 of 100 dopers caught claim it wasn't me. I didn't do it. They have got it wrong. I am innocent. I have never taken anything in my life. I am clean. It must be the health supplement.

In my opinion the number of false positives must be very small due to the process of getting a test procedure accredited. The scientists do realise they are playing with someone's career as do the sporting authorities. The testing procedures must be highly accurate otherwise they don't get a look in.

Maybe, just maybe the athletes who are prepared to dope are just plain liars who are so used to deceiving that the words " I am innocent" just roll off the tongue with an ease that makes us want to believe them.

Unfortunately the reality is that most of them are just plain liars. So we move on to our next hero and hope they are clean or at least don't get caught. Or that the doper will confess then repent, serve a suspension and we can cheer once more hoping they are now clean.

In any case, cycling is still a beautiful sport and I refuse to be downheartened by the lying dopers. I just wish they would face the truth.

Thanks, Buddy
