It's also interesting to see the political/cultural fallout in Germany--all the major newspapers are carrying editorials and opinion pieces on what is to be done. Via Cycling4fans check out some links...

There's talk of taking cycling events off of publically funded TV. We know ARD/ZDF were giving Jan Ullrich about 200K a year for.....what for exactly? Indeed it seems difficult to dispute that public funding of pro cycling as we know it enables doping. One editorial states in its title "The Dopers Are Us".

And even Rudolf Scharping is taking heat, because the BRD (Bund of German Cyclists) apparently gets a large portion of its funding from Stada, which markets EPO.
