Subject: food poisoning

does the number of times racers DNS/DNF races and stages due to FOOD POISONING strike anyone else strange?

having only traveled twice outside the usa, i can't speak with a lot of experience, but for those of you who do travel major distances from home and "eat locally," is the incidence of reported racing-related food poisoning consistent with your experiences?

one could also expect an even lower incidence of food poisoning in racers/racing teams WHO, as i understand it, may often travel, at least to big races, with team chefs/cooks.
