People were unfair to Prentice Steffen no matter what the second tests on Hamilton prove. Steffen simply told what he thought had happened, and there was no proof that he was lying. His story should be taken as is, not dismissed out of hand. He was branded a liar too quickly, like others. I'm not saying he told the truth, just pointing out that there is no indication he didn't. Sometimes, one just has to think a few times before judging.

Perhaps part of the problem is that many US Postal fans think that others *want* to see people from their favorite team test positive. I don't think that's the case; everyone wants a clean sport and naturally that includes Armstrong's team. We should always be clear on that, because that misunderstanding causes people to defend or attack people like Prentice Steffen without rational argument.

A witness is evidence. Not conclusive, but evidence nonetheless. Ofcourse, a false witness is false evidence. but that is not assumed to be the case until proven otherwise.
