I'd be really surprised if the now WADA legal pseudoephedrine, as a long-time banned substance, unknowingly to the testing labs and like authorities metabolizes to show up as another banned substance. If this was the case, there would be warnings about the legalization of pseudoephedrine and athete usage, particularly in an atmoshpere of potential litigation.

It's just as likely that the host of riders who have tested possitive for exceeding the nandrolone limit were all indeed victims of contaminated supplements. By the way, there are a host of steroids that can show up as nandrolone in urine...and the nandrolone limit can be abused much like the T-E ratio for testosterone.

If Phil did go positive, I hope they apply the rules fairly and consistently as is par for abuse of the product he is positive for. There is no conclusive way to dissern between an accidental positive and out-right lying abuse as to how the stuff gets into urine. Then again, USADA makes a mockery out of equal application of penalties anyway as seen by the Moninger/Neben discrepencies.
