I'm sure everything said on this thread is true--Tailwind certainly dropped the ball. But after Landis decided to leave, Johan wouldn't be inclined to try to keep him. Both Johan and Lance have said it's best to let a rider go who wants to leave. Clearly a communication problem with Floyd. I'm really sad about it. But perhaps this is how they've kept up the good morale on Postal despite having such a star which has limited others' possibilities. It's been fun to watch Postal race a more open team strategy in the Vuelta. And I'm still going to cheer for Floyd wherever he is.
