Fact is that the forums are more flexible and better structured than these. Everything has a place, and finding what you want to read is actually easier since you can find topics on racing in the (gasp) racing forum, and info on new equipment in the equipment forum.

Plus if there's a lot activity on the new forums it's harder to lose a thread or topic because of the sheer volume of posts and replies. Here though, if people get going and really start posting like crazy you end up burying threads that might be a good read.

The new forums are superior on a technical and practical level. Besides, the forums aren't that hard to use, everything is clearly labeled.
